Whip up a delicious Western omelet quiche using leftover eggs, Cheddar cheese, and ham for a flavorful breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared pie crust
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 2.5 cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 4 eggs, whisked
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced, or more to taste
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect baking temperature.
  • Prepare the 9-inch glass pie plate by gently transferring the pie crust into it. Set aside for later use.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ham until it becomes dry, which should take about 3 minutes. Once done, set it aside to cool to room temperature.
  • In a large bowl, combine cheese, milk, eggs, bell pepper, onion, garlic, black pepper, sugar, and salt until thoroughly mixed. Gently fold in ham and transfer mixture to the pie plate.
  • Bake in the oven until the crust is golden, the top is lightly browned, and the filling is set, approximately 1 hour.
