Whip up a savory Western omelet with ham, scallions, and green peppers for a flavorful and satisfying breakfast in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons butter, divided
  • 0.33333334326744 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced on the bias
  • 0.25 cup cooked ham strips
Instructions:
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, melt 1 teaspoon of butter. Sauté mushrooms, bell pepper, and green onions until tender, for about 5 minutes. Add ham and cook until heated through, approximately 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer the flavorful filling to a small bowl, keeping it warm.
  • Whisk eggs in a bowl; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • In the same skillet over medium-high heat, melt the remaining 1 teaspoon of butter until foamy. Add the eggs and cook for 30 seconds. Gently lift the edges of the omelet to let the uncooked egg flow underneath, ensuring even cooking. Tilt and shake the skillet to distribute the uncooked egg. Continue this process until the top is just set but still slightly moist and tender, approximately 2 minutes.
  • Spread the flavorful filling onto one side of the fluffy omelet, then gently fold the other half over, creating a delightful package. Finally, gracefully slide the omelet onto a plate, ready to be enjoyed.
