Indulgent white chocolate and caramel elevate simple bar cookies to new heights.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup white vanilla baking chips
  • 1/2 cup white vanilla baking chips, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray, ensuring the bottom and sides are well-coated.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed or a spoon to beat together brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Mix in flour and baking powder until fully combined. Fold in walnuts and 1 cup of baking chips. Spread the batter evenly in the pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown with a set center. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour. Drizzle with melted chips and let it set. Cut into 6 rows by 6 rows to make bars.
