Indulgent buttermilk pie with white chocolate chips and zesty orange, balancing flavors perfectly.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) package prepared 9-inch pie crusts
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated orange zest
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 5 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) while you elegantly line two 9-inch pie plates with the delicate pie crusts.
  • Bake the crusts in the hot oven for 8-10 minutes until partially cooked.
  • In a mixing bowl, blend sugar, flour, and orange zest. Stir in buttermilk, beaten eggs, orange blossom water, and vanilla.
  • Gently melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Stir the melted butter into the buttermilk filling until fully combined.
  • Evenly scatter 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips onto the bottom of each pie crust. Divide the filling between the crusts and sprinkle a light dusting of cinnamon on top. Protect the edges by covering them with foil to prevent burning.
  • Bake pies in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes until filling is set. Allow pies to cool, then refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight until firm. Serve chilled for optimal flavor.
