Indulgent white chocolate and vanilla ice cream, topped with toasted macadamia nuts for the perfect crunch. A simple recipe that demystifies this beloved dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons chopped and toasted macadamia nuts
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius).
  • Place 6 (4-ounce) ramekins in a deep baking dish, then distribute 1 tablespoon of macadamia nuts into each ramekin.
  • Combine cream and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat, add white chocolate, and whisk until melted. Gradually mix in egg yolks, then add vanilla extract. Divide mixture into ramekins, place in oven, and pour water into the baking dish until ramekins are 3/4 submerged.
  • Bake until the custard sets in the preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes. Then, remove the pan and switch the oven to broil.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over each ramekin. Broil until the sugar melts and caramelizes, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Take the ramekins out of the water bath. Let them cool for approximately 15 minutes. For an extra fabulous touch, refrigerate before serving, although they are equally delightful when served warm.
