Creamy white pizza sauce with milk, Parmesan, and garlic - a versatile twist for pizza, pasta, or chicken.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk, or more as needed
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add in onion and garlic, stirring until onion is tender and mixture is lightly browned, about 2 minutes. Whisk in flour until combined.
  • Pour in a cup of milk, along with Parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Keep whisking constantly until the cheese melts and the sauce slightly thickens, which should take around 5 minutes. If the sauce is too thick, you can add more milk. Lastly, take the sauce off the heat.
