Energize your morning with whole-wheat waffles, topped with fresh mixed berries and a drizzle of syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups mixed fresh berries (raspberries, blueberries, sliced strawberries)
  • 3/4 cup maple-flavored syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your waffle maker. If it's not nonstick, lightly grease it with vegetable oil or cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients, excluding berries and syrup, until well combined.
  • Pour the batter onto the center of the hot waffle maker, following the manufacturer’s recommended amount. Close the lid and bake for 3 to 5 minutes until steaming stops. Gently remove the waffle from the maker.
  • Top the warm, fluffy waffles with a generous amount of fresh berries and a drizzle of syrup before serving.
