Wild Duck Breast à l'Orange

Slow-cooked wild duck with orange, apple, and onion - a delectable family feast!
Ingredients:
  • 2 whole wild duck breasts, cut in half and skin removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 small oranges, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium apple, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium onion, cut into eighths
  • 1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
Instructions:
  • Season the duck with a generous amount of salt and pepper. Arrange the duck, oranges, apple, and onion in a 3 1/2 to 6-quart slow cooker. Drizzle the orange juice concentrate over the ingredients.
  • Slow cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours until the duck is tender.
  • Take out the duck from the cooker and discard the fruit and onion mixture.
