Magical Halloween brownies - a fun and easy spooky treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker™ Green Cookie Icing
  • 1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Decorating Cookie Icing black icing
  • 48 candy eyeballs from 1 package (0.88 oz) Betty Crocker™ Dessert Decorations Candy Eyeballs
  • 8 (8-inch) black licorice twists, each piece cut in thirds
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with foil, leaving an overhang. Grease foil with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Prepare and bake the brownies following the instructions on the box. Allow them to cool completely on a rack for approximately 1 hour.
  • With the help of foil, carefully lift the brownies out of the pan and peel the foil away. Cut them into 24 triangles by first creating 3 horizontal rows, then cutting each row into 8 triangles with a 2-inch wide base. Save the end pieces for snacking. (Diagram: [link])
  • To decorate each brownie triangle, drizzle green icing on the bottom third for the face. Pipe black icing on the top part for the hat. Add a cut piece of licorice between the green and black icing for the brim. Finally, place two candy eyeballs on the green icing. Store the decorated brownies covered in a single layer at room temperature.
