Latin-inspired yuca fries: a tasty twist on breakfast potatoes. Easy to make and oh so delicious!
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds yuca, peeled, and cut into 4 inch sections
  • 2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare all ingredients.
  • Place yuca in a large pot and cover with water. Boil until yuca is fork-tender, for about 20 to 30 minutes. Drain and let cool before handling.
  • Cut the yuca into thin sticks, making sure to remove the tough core.
  • Preheat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C) until hot and ready for frying.
  • Fry yuca in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, working in batches, about 5 minutes. Remove using a slotted spoon and let drain on paper towels in a bowl.
  • Season generously with flaky sea salt and serve piping hot.
