Elevate every party with zesty beef and bean dip, a quick and easy crowd-pleaser featuring Old El Paso spices, tomatoes, and onions.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 1 can (16 oz) Old El Paso™ Traditional Refried Beans
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with zesty mild green chilies, undrained
  • 1 cup shredded taco-flavored Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 8 oz round red and green tortilla chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray over medium heat. Sauté beef and onion in the skillet for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Combine refried beans and tomatoes in the pan, stirring occasionally, and let them heat through for about 3 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle in 3/4 cup of cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
  • Transfer the dip to a serving dish or 1 1/2- to 2-quart slow cooker set on Low heat setting. The dip can be kept warm in the slow cooker for up to 2 hours. Finish by sprinkling the remaining 1/4 cup of cheese on top. Enjoy with tortilla chips.
