Irresistible double butter coated chicken nuggets with crispy air fryer crunch, flavored with parmesan and thyme. Perfect for dinner or snack time!
Ingredients:
  • 125g (2 1/2 cups) panko breadcrumbs
  • 60g (3/4 cup) shredded parmesan
  • 30.00 ml fresh thyme leaves
  • 185g butter, melted
  • 500g chicken breast fillet, cut into 3cm pieces
  • 45.20 gm smokey barbecue sauce
  • 125g (1/2 cup) sour cream
Instructions:
  • Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, and thyme in a shallow bowl, season. Melt the butter in another shallow bowl. Coat a piece of chicken in butter, let excess drain off. Press chicken in breadcrumb mixture, coat firmly. Double coat chicken. Place on plate. Repeat with remaining chicken, butter, and breadcrumbs. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Line the air fryer basket with baking paper. Arrange half of the nuggets in a single layer, ensuring they have space between them. Give them a quick spray with oil. Air fry at 180C for about 12 minutes until they turn golden and cooked through. Repeat the same steps with the remaining nuggets.
  • Gently mix the barbecue sauce into the sour cream, creating a delicious dip. Serve the nuggets with the flavored sauce for a perfect pairing.
