Trending accordion potatoes are irresistibly crunchy and easy to make with a French onion twist in an air fryer for a healthier, quick bite.
Ingredients:
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled
  • 50g vegetable oil
  • 40g pkt French onion soup mix
  • 150g sour cream
  • 150g cream cheese, softened
  • 150g whole egg mayonnaise
  • 4 green shallots, finely chopped
Instructions:
  • Slice the potatoes lengthways into 1.5cm-thick slices. Score each slice horizontally at 0.5mm intervals, being careful not to cut all the way through. Flip the slices and score diagonally. Soak in water to prevent browning. Pat dry, thread onto skewers in accordion style, and display on a tray.
  • Mix together the oil and 1 tablespoon of French onion soup mix in a small bowl. Brush this flavorful mixture over potato skewers. Place skewers in the basket of an air fryer and cook at 180C for 15 minutes until perfectly crispy outside and tender inside.
  • Combine sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and remaining soup mix in a bowl. Beat with electric hand beaters until smooth. Stir in the shallot.
  • Present the accordion potatoes alongside a delectable bowl of French onion dip.
