Try these amazing air fryer sausage rolls for a simple and delicious treat!
Ingredients:
  • 500g pork mince
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, grated
  • 125.00 ml grated vintage cheddar
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 6.00 gm sesame seeds
  • Tomato relish, to serve
Instructions:
  • Combine the mince, apple, cheddar, onion, garlic, parsley, thyme, and half of the egg in a bowl. Season generously with salt and pepper, then mix thoroughly until well combined.
  • Lay out one pastry sheet and cut it in half to create two large rectangles. Leave a 1cm edge, then spoon 1/3 cup of mince mixture along one long side of each piece. Brush edges with some remaining egg, roll up to enclose the filling, and trim the ends. Cut each roll into 3 pieces and place seam-side down on a baking paper-lined tray. Repeat the process with the remaining pastry, mince, and egg.
  • Brush the rolls with a shiny coat of egg wash, delicately carve lines into the tops with a small knife, generously sprinkle with aromatic fennel and sesame seeds, and season with a pinch of salt and a crack of pepper.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 200C. Cook the sausage rolls in batches for 10 to 12 minutes until golden and puffed. Serve alongside tomato relish.
