Air-fried pork belly bites with sticky golden syrup glaze. Ready in 40 minutes, juicy and crispy perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg piece boneless pork belly
  • 16.00 gm brown sugar
  • 7.50 gm smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp plain flour
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Olive oil spray
  • 50g butter
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 45.20 gm barbecue sauce
  • 20.00 ml bourbon
  • 2 tsp sriracha
Instructions:
  • Dice the pork belly into 4cm pieces and transfer them to a shallow dish.
  • Mix sugar, paprika, flour, onion, and garlic powder in a bowl. Spread evenly over pork, making sure to coat every piece. Refrigerate uncovered for 2 hours to allow the pork to air dry.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 200°C. Drizzle the pork with oil and season generously. Arrange half of the pork in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the pork is slightly charred and fully cooked. Transfer to a serving bowl and repeat with the remaining pork.
  • To prepare the sticky golden syrup sauce, combine butter, golden syrup, barbecue sauce, bourbon, and sriracha in a small saucepan over medium heat. Season with your favorite spices. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the mixture is melted and smooth. Let it come to a simmer and continue to simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and enjoy!
  • Serve the pork by elegantly drizzling it with the sauce.
