Air-fried calzone filled with spinach, marinara, mozzarella, and chicken breast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 0.25 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 3 cups baby spinach leaves
  • 0.33333334326744 cup low-sodium marinara sauce
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded cooked chicken breast
  • 6 ounces prepared pizza dough
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • cooking spray
Instructions:
  • In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, sauté onion in oil until tender, for about 2 minutes. Add spinach, cover, and cook until wilted, approximately 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in marinara sauce and chicken.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 325°F (165°C following the manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces, then roll each piece into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Spread a quarter of the spinach mixture on the bottom half of each dough circle, followed by a quarter of the mozzarella. Fold the dough over the filling to form half-moons and crimp the edges to seal. Finally, coat them generously with cooking spray.
  • Place the calzone in the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes. Flip the calzone and continue cooking until golden brown, about 4 more minutes.
