Try a classic backyard burger for a perfect summer meal.
Ingredients:
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1/2 small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 24.40 gm worcestershire sauce
  • 46.80 gm American mustard
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 4 slices gouda cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, split, toasted
  • 41.60 gm tomato sauce
  • 62.50 ml bread and butter cucumbers
  • 750.00 ml shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 carrot, peeled, grated
  • 1 small red onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 125g cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 61.88 gm mayonnaise
  • 41.20 gm French dressing
Instructions:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mince, onion, and garlic. Season with pepper. Mix Worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon of mustard into the mixture. Shape into four 1.5cm-thick patties.
  • In a large non-stick pan over medium heat, sear patties for 5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Serve patties on roll bottoms and add mustard, tomato sauce, and cucumber. Finally, assemble the sandwiches by adding the roll tops.
  • Prepare Salad Slaw: In a bowl, combine lettuce, carrot, red onion, and tomato. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise and dressing. Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture, toss to combine, and serve alongside the burgers.
