Amish-inspired cranberry-apple pie with a nostalgic crumble crust, ideal for any occasion, especially festive gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups frozen cranberries, sorted and rinsed
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 3.5 teaspoons all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Mix together the oil and milk in a liquid measuring cup until fully combined.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and salt. Pour in the oil mixture and stir until fully combined. Press slightly more than half of the crust into a pie plate, using a spatula if needed, as the mixture may be crumbly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss together cranberries and apples. Stir in sugar, flour, and lemon juice until fruit is well coated. Transfer filling into the pie plate and sprinkle remaining crust mixture on top.
  • Bake until the filling is bubbly and the crumb topping is golden brown, around 40-50 minutes in the preheated oven.
