Indulge in a comforting dessert of tender apples, juicy berries, and a crunchy sweet topping.
Ingredients:
  • 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cores removed
  • 53.75 gm caster sugar
  • 250g punnet strawberries, hulled, sliced
  • 500.00 ml frozen mixed berries
  • 60g butter, chilled, cubed
  • 75.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 75.00 gm rolled oats
  • 59.40 gm brown sugar
  • 125.00 ml fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • Cream, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and lightly grease a 6-cup ovenproof dish.
  • Slice the apples thinly and place them in a saucepan over medium heat. Add caster sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Cover and cook for 5 minutes until the apples are tender but still firm. Remove from heat, then mix in the berries. Spoon the mixture into an ovenproof dish.
  • Combine butter and flour until the mixture looks like coarse breadcrumbs. Add oats, brown sugar, breadcrumbs, cinnamon, and honey. Spread the crumble over the fruit. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden. Serve with cream.
