Try these irresistible apple cinnamon bars featuring sweet apples and cinnamon baking chips. Quick and easy to make with just 15 minutes of prep time. A perfect dessert in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped peeled apple (1 medium)
  • 1 cup cinnamon-flavored baking chips (from 10-oz bag)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in apple butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt on low speed until well combined. Gently fold in apple and cinnamon chips, then spread the batter in the pan.
  • Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until edges slightly detach from the pan and the top is golden brown. Let cool in the pan on a rack for at least 1 hour.
  • Combine the glaze ingredients in a small bowl until reaching a drizzling consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the bars and cut into 8 rows by 4 rows to serve.
