Delicious apple crescent rose pastries ready in 45 minutes - perfect for brunch!
Ingredients:
  • 3 medium apples
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Flour, for sprinkling
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F and generously grease 9 regular-size muffin cups.
  • Prepare the apples by washing and coring them, then thinly slice each one with the peel still on.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, bring water, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil. Add apple slices and cook for about 3 minutes until they are tender enough to bend without breaking.
  • Drain the apples and transfer them to paper towels to dry and cool thoroughly.
  • Spread a layer of flour on your work surface and then gently roll out the dough sheet. Sprinkle 5 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon evenly over the dough. Using a pastry cutter or pizza cutter, slice the dough into 9 strips that are each 1 inch wide.
  • Line up the cooled apple slices neatly along each strip. Gently roll each strip and place it in a muffin cup.
  • Bake until beautifully golden for 20-25 minutes. Transfer out of the pan to cool on a rack. Serve and savor every bite!
