Delicious apple crisp with oat crumble and warm cranberry compote - perfect for autumn!
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples
  • 0.66666668653488 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 (12 ounce) package cranberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, rolled oats, butter, cinnamon, and allspice until crumbly. Spread apples into a 9x9-inch baking dish and sprinkle the crumbly mixture on top.
  • Bake until the crumble topping is golden brown and the apples are tender, about 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • In a saucepan, mix cranberries, white sugar, and water until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, then simmer on low, stirring occasionally, until cranberries pop, around 5 minutes. Remove from heat; the compote will thicken as it cools. Serve over apple crisp.
