Indulge in the ultimate muffin-top treat with this simple recipe featuring fresh apples and cinnamon. Just mix diced apples with Betty Crocker™ Cinnamon Muffin Tops Mix, bake, and top with cream cheese glaze and cinnamon. Perfect for brunch or a delightful dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (13.4 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cinnamon Muffin Tops Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on muffin tops box
  • 3/4 cup peeled and diced apple (about 1 small apple)
  • Ground cinnamon, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (375°F for dark or nonstick pan) and prepare a large cookie sheet by lining it with cooking parchment paper.
  • Combine muffin tops mix, water, oil, and egg in a medium bowl, stirring just until blended (the batter will be thick). Gently fold in the apple.
  • Spoon the batter onto a lined cookie sheet, making sure they are 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack. Allow them to cool completely before drizzling.
  • Gently massage the glaze pouch for 15 seconds, then snip off one corner of the pouch. Drizzle the glaze over the muffin tops, sprinkle with cinnamon, and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
