Satisfy your craving with a homemade Sesame-Sweet-Spicy-Sour Asian chicken dish.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.5 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast meat - cut into strips
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, orange juice, hot pepper sauce, vanilla, brown sugar, and honey in a bowl, stirring until fully dissolved. Season with minced garlic, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Gradually whisk in sesame oil and vegetable oil until well combined.
  • Coat the chicken generously with the marinade, cover it up, and let it chill in the fridge for a minimum of 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to Broil setting with rack positioned at the top.
  • Place the chicken in a baking dish or on a baking sheet and broil until golden brown for 5 to 8 minutes. Flip the chicken over and continue broiling until fully cooked and no longer pink, approximately 5 more minutes.
