Indulgent baked pears with butter, sugar, and a touch of cream - a simple, comforting fruit treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar, divided
  • 2 Bosc pears, halved and cored
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C), then generously grease a 9-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon of butter and sprinkle it with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Massage the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter onto the pear halves, then place the pears cut side down in the prepared baking dish and generously sprinkle with the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then pour cream over the pears and bake for an additional 20 minutes until tender.
