Bacon-infused Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze and homemade bacon bits - a irresistible crowd pleaser!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and line a 15x10-inch baking pan with foil.
  • Add Brussels sprouts to the pan. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon each of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper, then toss to evenly coat.
  • Roast the Brussels sprouts in the oven, stirring every 5 minutes, until they are perfectly crisp-tender and golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • As Brussels sprouts are roasting, sizzle bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until perfectly browned and crispy, for about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain on paper towels, then crumble once cooled.
  • Finish the roasted Brussels sprouts by generously drizzling them with the remaining 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, then topping them with savory crumbled bacon and bright lemon zest.
