Try this simple and flavorful balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts with onions for a delicious side dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 0.25 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and give your baking sheet a quick and easy grease up.
  • In a bowl, mix Brussels sprouts and onions with 3 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Gently toss until everything is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the baking sheet.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until Brussels sprouts and onions are tender and caramelized, for 25-30 minutes.
  • In a small skillet over medium-high heat, saute shallot in 2 tablespoons of olive oil until tender for about 5 minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and cook until slightly reduced for another 5 minutes. Stir in rosemary, then pour over the sprouts mixture.
