Nutritious banana pancakes made with whole wheat flour, almonds, flax seeds, and ripe bananas for a delicious breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup whole wheat flour
  • 0.25 cup ground almonds
  • 0.25 cup ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions:
  • Combine the whole wheat flour, ground almonds, ground flax seeds, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a bowl and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, vigorously blend almond milk, bananas, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Gently fold into the whole wheat flour mixture until just combined.
  • Heat butter on a griddle over medium heat until melted. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form and edges are dry, about 3 to 4 minutes. Flip and cook until browned on the other side, 2 to 3 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
