Decadent French crepes with creamy sauce, bananas, and whipped cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 cup half-and-half cream
  • 6 bananas, halved lengthwise
  • 1.5 cups whipped heavy cream
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine the sifted flour and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix in eggs, milk, butter, vanilla, and salt until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  • Prepare a greased 6-inch skillet over medium heat. Pour in approximately 3 tablespoons of batter, then gently tilt the skillet to ensure the batter spreads evenly across the surface. Cook until lightly browned, then flip and brown the other side. Continue this process with the rest of the batter, greasing the skillet as necessary.
  • In a large skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter until sizzling. Add brown sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and nutmeg, stirring until fragrant. Pour in cream and simmer until slightly thickened. Gently add half of the bananas and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, spooning the luscious sauce over them. Take off the heat and enjoy!
  • Wrap each banana half in a delicate crepe and arrange on a serving platter. Drizzle generously with sauce, then crown with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
