Ingredients:
  • 6 large bananas, peeled, halved lengthways
  • 30g butter, chopped
  • 1.25 litres vanilla ice-cream
  • 62.50 ml roasted salted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • 120g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 126.25 gm thickened cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Arrange bananas cut side-up in a shallow baking tray. Melt butter and sugar in a saucepan until smooth, then pour over bananas. Bake until golden, about 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  • While you wait, prepare the sauce by combining chocolate and cream in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir with a metal spoon for 3 to 4 minutes until melted and smooth.
  • Scoop ice cream over banana mixture. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, sprinkle with peanuts, and serve.
