Banana Toffee Picnic Cake

Whip up a delicious banana cake with no need for frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas (2 medium)
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan) and coat a 13x9-inch pan with baking spray with flour.
  • Combine cake mix, bananas, water, oil, almond extract, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then increase to medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour the batter into a pan and sprinkle even layers of toffee bits on top.
  • Bake for 33 to 40 minutes, or until the cake springs back when lightly touched in the center. Gently run a knife around the sides of the pan to loosen the cake. Allow the cake to cool completely, approximately 1 hour, then store it loosely covered.
