Whip up a comforting classic: bangers and mash with onion gravy and peas. Perfect for a family meal!
Ingredients:
  • 800g brushed potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 125ml buttermilk
  • 8 (560g pkt) Thin Beef Sausages
  • 1 brown onion, thinly sliced
  • 40.00 ml Traditional Gravy Mix
  • 20.80 gm Tomato Sauce
  • 150g pea
Instructions:
  • 1. In a large saucepan, add the potato and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook for 15 minutes or until tender. Drain the potato and return it to the pan. Add the buttermilk and use a potato masher or fork to mash until smooth.
  • Preheat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook the sausages for 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through. Place them on a plate and cover to keep warm. In the same pan, cook the onion for 3 minutes until soft. Stir in the gravy mix and 1 cup (250ml) hot water. Bring to a boil and cook for another 3 minutes until the gravy thickens slightly. Add the tomato sauce and cook for 1 minute until well combined.
  • Simmer the peas in boiling water until warm. Drain and keep them cozy.
  • Scoop the mashed potatoes onto individual plates. Place sausages on top. Serve with peas and onion gravy.
