Family heirloom meatballs, a childhood favorite, best served over rice with a side salad.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 cup uncooked rolled oats
  • 0.66666698455811 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 0.66666698455811 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine the ground beef, oats, milk, 2 tablespoons of minced onion, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Allow it to rest until the milk is absorbed, then form the mixture into 8 patties.
  • Combine Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and 1/4 cup chopped onion in a small bowl; set aside after thorough mixing.
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, sizzle the patties in oil until golden on both sides. Add the sauce, lower the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
