Indulge in juicy teriyaki grilled burgers this barbecue season for a mouthwatering and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon plain panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices red onion
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 4 sesame seed hamburger buns
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef, 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce, diced onion, panko, ginger paste, garlic, salt, and pepper until just combined. Shape the mixture into 4 patties, flattening to match the size of your bun. Use your thumb to create an indentation in the center of each patty for even cooking.
  • Heat up your grill to a nice medium-high heat and give the grate a light coating of oil. Toast the insides of the buns for about 1 minute until they are perfectly crispy, then grill the red onions for about 5 minutes until they are tender. Set them aside for later use.
  • Grill burgers for 5 to 7 minutes until cooked through, turning halfway through. Brush with teriyaki sauce and ensure they reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C) with a thermometer.
  • Place a burger on each bun, generously drizzle with teriyaki sauce, and customize with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
