Indulge in a comforting cup of barley tea to treat yourself.
Ingredients:
  • 160g (2/3 cup) pearl barley
  • 4L (8 cups) water
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Spread the barley on a large baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes until toasted and aromatic.
  • In a large saucepan, combine the barley with water and bring to a boil over high heat. simmer partially covered for 30 minutes, or until the barley is tender. Strain the tea into a heatproof jug, discard the barley, and let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
