Create a festive holiday bread pudding by swapping in eggnog for milk, adding nutmeg and mace for a delicious twist. Serve with whipped cream for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf white bread, torn into small pieces
  • 1 quart hot milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup golden raisins
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven until it reaches 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Pour hot milk over bread in a large mixing bowl. Blend eggs, sugar, and vanilla together. Stir in the egg mixture with the bread mixture until well combined. Add raisins and mix thoroughly.
  • Melt the margarine and pour it into a 9x13-inch pan. Top with the bread mixture and bake for 40 minutes until golden brown and firm. Enjoy hot or cold.
