Make delicious basketball cupcakes with Betty Crocker™ cake mix and frosting for a crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • Red and yellow liquid food color
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Betty Crocker™ black decorating icing (from 4.25-oz tube)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • Prepare and bake the cake mix according to the box instructions to make 24 cupcakes. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  • Mix red and yellow food colors into the frosting until the desired shade of orange is achieved. Frost the cupcakes and use black icing to pipe lines resembling a basketball. Store the cupcakes loosely covered.
