Crunchy and delicious nutritious side salad.
Ingredients:
  • 1 500g pkt bean sprouts, ends trimmed
  • 24.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 10 green shallots, cut into 4cm lengths, finely shredded
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp corn oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bean sprouts, drain, and spread on a tray to cool for 30 minutes.
  • In a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned.
  • Combine bean sprouts, toasted sesame seeds, green shallots, garlic, corn oil, and sesame oil in a serving bowl. Toss to mix thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
