Make zesty cheddar and chili beer bread, perfect for salads, barbecue, and chili.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup canned green chile peppers, chopped
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and gently grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Combine flour, sugar, beer, cheese, and chilies in a large bowl. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the loaf.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50-60 minutes in a preheated oven.
