Indulge in a rich beer cheese dip with sharp Cheddar and dark lager, perfect for dipping pretzels, topping sliders, or elevating mac and cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup German dark beer
  • 2 teaspoon stone ground mustard
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 ounces grated sharp Cheddar
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed Aleppo chiles
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour until smooth, then pour in milk and beer. Cook, whisking constantly, until mixture thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine mustard and Worcestershire sauce and stir until well mixed. Add cheese and continue stirring until melted. Blend in Aleppo pepper and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve promptly.
