Indulgent fall apple crisp with a cozy aroma. Easy and delicious dessert topped with creamy ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium tart cooking apples, sliced (4 cups)
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Cream or Ice cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F, and generously grease the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish or pan with shortening.
  • Arrange the apples evenly in the pan. In a separate medium bowl, combine all ingredients except the cream until thoroughly mixed, then sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the topping turns a beautiful golden brown and the apples are easily pierced with a fork. Serve warm with a dollop of cream.
