Fluffy yeast rolls made with self-rising flour for the lightest, most delicious results. Simply mix, rise, and bake for airy perfection - no kneading or punching down required!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 3 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • 7.5 cups self-rising flour
Instructions:
  • Place 2 cups of water and butter or margarine in a large bowl and microwave for about 2 minutes.
  • Combine 1 cup of sugar with the eggs in a separate bowl.
  • Microwave 1/2 cup water for 30 seconds in a separate cup. Stir in 1 teaspoon sugar and dissolve yeast.
  • Combine butter, water, sugar, and eggs in a bowl, then add salt. Mix in yeast water and stir in 7 to 7 1/2 cups of flour until well combined. Cover and refrigerate overnight to let the dough rise.
  • Transfer the dough onto a floured surface (avoid punching it down) and allow it to come to room temperature. Gently knead the dough, incorporating just enough extra flour to prevent sticking.
  • Form the dough into rolls and arrange them on a greased baking sheet. Allow them to rest for 30 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) until golden on top. Brush with oil or butter right after baking.
