Delicious and easy Big Mac sliders, a crowd-pleasing appetizer for game day or any gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 (12 ounce) package Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls (such as King's Hawaiian)
  • 1/3 cup Big Mac Sauce (recipe follows)
  • 6 (1/2 ounce each) American cheese slices
  • 2/3 cup drained dill pickle chips
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped yellow onion (from 1 small 5 ounce onion)
  • 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup packed shredded iceberg lettuce (from 1 small [1 pound] head)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and gather all your ingredients.
  • Cover a large-rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Shape ground chuck into an 11- x 9-inch rectangle on the foil. Season evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Roast in a hot oven until beef reaches 140°F to 145°F when a thermometer is inserted, approximately 10 minutes. With 2 large spatulas, move the beef to a cutting board lined with paper towels, and remove the foil.
  • Prepare a fresh piece of foil on the baking sheet and give it a light coating of cooking spray. With a serrated bread knife, halve the rolls horizontally while keeping the top and bottom halves together. Arrange the bottom halves of the rolls on the baking sheet with the cut side facing up.
  • Evenly slather the Big Mac Sauce on the bottom half of the rolls.
  • Layer the beef patty on top of the sauce, evenly topping it with cheese slices, pickles, and onion.
  • Cover the pickles and onions with the top half of the rolls. Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over them before baking.
  • Bake until the top buns turn a delicious golden brown and the cheese becomes gooey and melted, approximately 10 minutes.
  • Gently lift off the bun tops, layer with crisp lettuce, and cover with bun tops again.
  • Cut sliders into 12 bite-sized pieces and enjoy with extra Big Mac Sauce on the side.
  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until fully blended. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
