Mom's classic coffee cake with a twist: blueberries added for a delightful touch.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.3333333730698 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 0.66666668653488 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt by sifting them together in a bowl. Set aside.
  • In a big bowl, blend sugar and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one by one, then mix in the vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour mix and buttermilk until just combined. Gently fold in blueberries. Transfer batter to pan. Enjoy!
  • Mix together flour and sugar in a small bowl. Incorporate butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then sprinkle over the batter.
  • Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 45 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool before serving.
