Elevate your oatmeal cookies with tangy dried blueberries for a delightful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup dried blueberries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and set up 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, use an electric mixer to blend butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, vigorously whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until fully blended. Gently incorporate this mixture into the butter until just combined. Finally, delicately fold in the oats and blueberries.
  • Place 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie onto the baking sheets, making sure to space them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake one sheet at a time in the preheated oven until the cookies turn a beautiful golden brown, approximately 12 minutes. Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely.
