Whip up a decadent bourbon and brown sugar infused sweet potato mash for a festive touch to your holiday meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds garnet sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks
  • Salt
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons bourbon whisky
  • 4 tablespoons butter (more or less to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar (more or less to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Cook sweet potato chunks in a large pot of salted boiling water until tender, approximately 15-20 minutes.
  • To make the sweet potato mash, drain the cooked sweet potatoes and return them to the pot on low heat. Stir in bourbon, butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Mash with a potato masher until smooth. Adjust seasoning with more salt, bourbon, butter, or brown sugar as desired. Enjoy the dish and please rate it below!
