Garlic herb breaded tilapia fillets - a crispy, flavorful twist on a classic dish, without the hassle of frying.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 6 tilapia fillets
  • 1 cup garlic- and herb-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic and herb seasoning (such as McCormick®)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 large egg
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), while you lightly coat a shallow baking dish with cooking spray. Gently dry the fish fillets with a paper towel.
  • Combine bread crumbs, seasoning, salt, and cayenne pepper in a sealed zip-top bag. Shake well until fully mixed.
  • Combine milk and egg in a bowl. Dip each fillet in the mixture, then transfer to a zip-top bag to coat evenly. Place coated fillets in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until easily flaked with a fork. Then, switch on the broiler and cook for an additional 5 minutes until edges are crisp.
