Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups quick cooking oats
  • 0.5 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup margarine, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350°F (175°C) and gently grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • Combine oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and margarine until creamy, then beat in the egg. Gently fold the mixtures together until just combined. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan.
  • Bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
