Elegant puff pastry bites with creamy Brie, sweet cherry preserves, and crunchy pecans for a delightful appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from 17.3-ounce package), thawed
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup red cherry preserves
  • 4 ounces Brie cheese, cut into 1/2x1/2-inch pieces (36 pieces)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°. Grease 36 miniature muffin cups. Cut pastry into 36 (1 1/2-inch) squares. Gently press each square into a muffin cup, creating a slight indentation in the center with your finger.
  • Bake for 10 minutes until slightly firm. Continue baking for 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown. Press the centers again while hot. Fill each with approximately 1/2 teaspoon preserves, then top with cheese, pecans, and chives.
  • Bake for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is deliciously melted. Serve while it's warm.
