Festive brownie holiday trees - a joyful and delicious treat perfect for solo indulgence or sharing some baking love with a special someone. Easy to make and full of holiday cheer!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box (17.8 oz) Betty Crocker™ Delights Supreme Triple Chunk Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 green tube gel food color from 1 package (2.7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Classic Gel Food Colors
  • 2 pretzel rods
  • Betty Crocker™ Decorating Icing, Betty Crocker™ Decorating Sprinkles and Sugars (assorted colors)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or 325°F for a dark or nonstick pan). Line a 9-inch square pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Prepare the brownie batter as instructed on the box and spread it in the pan. Bake for 28 to 33 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side of the pan almost comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely for about 1 hour and 30 minutes before serving.
  • Carefully lift the brownie by the foil, peel away the foil, and transfer the brownie onto a work surface. Use a sharp knife to cut a tree shape in the brownie as shown in the photo.
  • Create a second tree using the leftover brownie pieces, following the photo for guidance. Place both brownie trees on a serving platter or board. In a medium bowl, mix together frosting and food color until evenly colored. Spread or pipe the frosting onto the brownies. Then, insert a pretzel rod into the bottom of each brownie to form the tree trunk.
  • Add decorative icing, sprinkle with colorful sprinkles and sugars to your heart's content on the brownies following the picture as a guide. Cut into pieces for serving and store at room temperature loosely covered.
